The objective of the qualitative evaluation: understanding of the target population and service providers regarding interlinkage between agriculture , natural resource management, WASH, livelihoods, childcare practices and Nutrition. Sustainability of the practices & behaviour chances among the families of the undernourished children. Assess the scope of scaling up of the “multi Sector Approach – Nutrition Smart village” through the government official & other stake holders who can influence policy decisions Furthermore, the evaluation will serve as a basis for the planning of the approved second phase of the project.

To assess and analyse the feasibility and relevance of the project, Welthungerhilfe is planning a feasibility study to be commissioned by a consultant or consultancy firm.

Design Thinking and Scrum Training for Welthungerhilfe Afghanistan and Partners
Welthungerhilfe Afghanistan is currently implementing the ‘Afghanistan Accountability Initiative-Ensuring Inclusive Futures’ Project. This project focuses on ideating, prototyping and testing ‘products’ that will support Afghan civil society in being more effective and self-reliant, and deriving its authority from Afghan citizens by channelling their demands and holding duty bearers responsible. This project integrates design thinking and Scrum as overall conceptual and management frameworks to drive product development and project implementation by Welthungerhilfe and Welthungerhilfe’s partners. As Welthungerhilfe and partner have limited to no experience using design thinking and Scrum, Welthungerhilfe is planning a training to familiarise training participants with design thinking and Scrum.

Evaluation of the Sustainable Initiative (SSI)
The SSI seeks to improve the sustainability of WHH’s WASH programmes, primarily through encouraging the uptake of a systems strengthening approach on the part of WHH programmes, and to advocate in the sector and partner countries for a more sustainable approach to WASH programming. The evaluation will be process-oriented, focusing on the evolution of the SSI, its institutionalization within Welthungerhilfe, and its sector-level impact with the Agenda for Change and other organisations and networks.
