Thanks to your donation, we are able to apply for further funds from public donors, such as the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union (EU) or the Foreign Office (AA) and convince them of our project ideas. Every euro donated will be quadrupled – 100 euro will become 400 euro.

0.9% of our funds go towards education, awareness-raising and campaigns, whilst 3.8% are spent on advertising and public relations.

2.9% of our funds go to project support and quality assurance. 2.4% is spent on administration.

The majority of your donations go directly into our projects in partner countries, where they can have a significant impact. 90.0% goes to project funding abroad.

Together, we tackle poverty and have recently been able to help around 19.1 million people. Your donation enables people in our project countries to build a new future. We have made considerable progress in many regions of the world. However, as a result of crises and advancing climate change, the number of people suffering from hunger has recently risen again. Our projects help people to provide for themselves and their families. Your donation helps to save lives every day.

Anti-terrorism regulations

Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is reviewing non-public support starting at 10,000 euro to meet the increased legal requirements of global measures against terrorism and money laundering. It compares supporter data connected to a concrete project use through automated procedures which access public lists of the United Nations and the European Union. It is of course ensured that all relevant provisions for the protection of personal data are observed.
