Welthungerhilfe gives emergency aid in Sudan and Myanmar and development partnerships in Liberia and Sri Lanka. The long-term consequences of the financial crisis of 2008 will be particularly noticeable in the developing countries, as there are no social security systems to mitigate the consequences for those affected.
