WHH Kenya works to improve access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food by strengthening resilient food systems and empowering communities to sustainably meet their food and nutrition needs. Our interventions promote climate-resilient agriculture, improved natural resource management, diversified livelihoods, market access, and increased household incomes, enabling vulnerable communities to better withstand shocks and build long-term resilience.

We support farmers, pastoralists, women, and youth to adopt sustainable agricultural practices, strengthen local value chains, and improve nutrition knowledge and practices. Through integrated approaches that combine food production, nutrition, climate adaptation, and economic opportunities, we contribute to healthier diets and more resilient communities. School-based initiatives, including school gardens, nutrition education, and sustainable school feeding models, complement these efforts by improving child nutrition while strengthening links between schools, local food systems, and communities.

WHH Kenya promotes access to safe, inclusive, and dignified learning environments, particularly in underserved and rural communities. We improve school infrastructure, integrate digital learning opportunities, and strengthen water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities to create safe and conducive spaces for learning.

Our interventions also support school-based nutrition initiatives and menstrual hygiene management, including affordable eco-friendly sanitary pad dispensers that help girls stay in school with dignity and confidence. By addressing barriers to education, we contribute to improved learning outcomes and equal opportunities for all learners.

WHH Kenya improves access to safe and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in schools and communities. Our interventions include water supply systems, rainwater harvesting, sanitation facilities, and hygiene promotion to protect health, strengthen resilience, and uphold dignity. We also support community-led management of water resources to ensure reliable and lasting access to safe water.

WHH Kenya strengthens the resilience of communities to climate change by promoting sustainable management of land, water, and natural resources. We support climate-smart agriculture, ecosystem restoration, water conservation, and community-led natural resource management to protect livelihoods, restore productive landscapes, and build resilience to climate-related shocks.

WHH Kenya strengthens sustainable livelihoods by promoting entrepreneurship, vocational skills development, market access, and financial inclusion. We support women, youth, farmers, and pastoralists to build resilient livelihoods, improve incomes, and seize economic opportunities that foster long-term self-reliance and inclusive local economic development.

WHH Kenya delivers timely, needs-based humanitarian assistance to communities affected by drought, floods, conflict, and other crises. Our interventions address immediate needs while promoting early recovery, anticipatory action, and resilience, helping vulnerable communities better prepare for and recover from future shocks.
