20 current projects
13.7 m. € funding in 2025
204,000 people reached in 2025

With political crises and violent conflicts, the Central African Republic descended into chaos in 2013. Approximately a million people, in particular from rural regions, fled to neighbouring countries or to safe places within the country. Despite the signing of the Political Accord for Peace and Reconciliation in February 2019, the security situation in the Central African Republic remains highly volatile. Around 2.3 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance (UN OCHA 2026). Agricultural production continues to be constrained, and food prices are exploding.
