Payroll Giving
The donation behind the decimal point – Small donations with big impact
With a payroll giving program, you enable your employees to make a meaningful contribution easily—through small monthly donations or one-time gifts.
Popular forms of payroll giving include:
Spare Change Campaign
The donation behind the decimal point
In a spare change campaign, employees donate the cents left over from their monthly salary payment. This amount can be donated monthly or once a year. Companies can set this up directly in their accounting systems or opt for a flat-rate solution with one annual donation. The company can further support the initiative by matching or multiplying the total amount raised.
Small donations with big impact
For example, if each employee donates €0.50 per month, this adds up to €6.00 per year per employee. With €0.60 per month, it becomes €7.20 annually. When many employees participate, the impact multiplies. Each employee decides individually whether—and for how long—to take part.
As an alternative to calculating individual amounts, many companies choose a symbolic flat-rate donation—€1 per employee per month or €12 per year.
How it works
- Inspire managers and employees to join the campaign
- Obtain approval from relevant stakeholders
- Inform and involve employees
- Collect employee consent forms
- Integrate the process into payroll accounting
- Transfer the collected donations semi-annually or annually
- Share results internally—celebrate the total raised with your team

Bonus Donation
Celebrating success together
With bonus donations, you give employees the opportunity to celebrate their success while making a positive difference for others. Shared joy becomes double joy when recognition turns into real help.
In a bonus donation campaign, employees contribute a portion of their net annual bonus. The company can support the initiative—for example, by offering a prize draw among all donors or matching or multiplying the total donation amount.
This campaign can be organized in the same way as the spare change campaign or through a donation platform.
