Guidelines for Cooperation with Companies
Fighting hunger and poverty requires the joint efforts of governments, businesses, and civil society. It is encouraging when companies are willing to take on this major task together with us.
Welthungerhilfe (WHH) looks forward to collaborating with partners whose actions are in harmony with our values and objectives. To achieve this, it is essential that corporate partners uphold social and environmental standards.
Every collaboration—whether it involves a one-time corporate donation or a long-term partnership—is guided by clear principles and exclusion criteria. Each partnership is reviewed using publicly available information and through direct dialogue with company representatives. Welthungerhilfe does not enter into partnerships with companies from certain sectors such as weapons, tobacco, gambling, fur production, or pornography. However, we remain open to dialogue with all companies.
Partnerships are built on mutual respect and trust. We firmly believe that an early alignment of shared values and goals lays the groundwork for meaningful and lasting cooperation.
