Gaza
The ongoing conflict in Gaza has triggered one of the worst humanitarian crises of our time. Over 90% of Gaza's population has been displaced and is forced to flee again and again to escape the ongoing fighting. Food supplies have been depleted and millions of people are dependent on immediate aid to survive. Together with our partners, we are providing emergency aid in northern and central Gaza. In their work, Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and its partners strictly adhere to the humanitarian principles of neutrality, humanity, impartiality and independence. WHH strongly condemns the brutal Hamas raid on October 7, 2023 and calls for the immediate release of all remaining hostages. At the same time, it calls for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, the protection of the civilian population and humanitarian aid workers, and the safe and unhindered access of needed relief supplies by the fastest possible route.
