Living Everyday Life Despite the Terror Threat

Since 2015, about 300,000 Nigerians have fled from the Boko Haram terror group into the border area of neighbouring Niger, which is also unstable. This has further worsened the nutrition situation, which was precarious in any case. This project distributes seed, sometimes together with gardening equipment. Demonstration fields are set up for training purposes. Building wells and latrines, and related hygiene training, should ensure clean water and improved health. Cash-for-work measures help increase local purchasing power. Both refugees and host families are included.
