ToGETHER! Towards Greater Effectiveness and Timeliness in Humanitarian Emergency Response
The program directly contributes to the commitments of the Grand Bargain and the Humanitarian Reset by strengthening local leadership and decision-making, promoting more equitable partnerships, providing funding that is as directly accessible as possible for local humanitarian organizations, expanding flexible financing for timely and people-centered responses, and piloting a risk-sharing framework.
Since 2020, WHH has been the lead agency in the GFFO-funded ToGETHER program (“Towards Greater Effectiveness and Timeliness in Humanitarian Emergency Response”). ToGETHER comprises 4 INGOs, 40 local humanitarian partners (LHPs), and 130 peer humanitarian partners in 16 country projects (within 7 years) in 8 countries. The goal of ToGETHER is to support local humanitarian actors in taking a leading role in the delivery of effective, timely, accountable, and principled humanitarian action in their respective countries.
In its capacity as lead agency, WHH accomplished the establishment and operation of a global program management and coordination mechanism organizing, overseeing, and assuring quality and compliance within ToGETHER.
