This Orientation Framework faces that gender equality is an important part of the self-image of organisations working in the field of development co-operation.

Details

The UN World Women’s Conference of 1995 spelled out the gender perspective for the 21st century in the guise of an Action Platform. UN Resolution 1325, adopted in 2000, issues an appeal to involve women more in the avoidance, management and resolution of conflicts at all levels.
