In 2022, 148 million children under five were classified as stunted. Unternutrition contributes to nearly half of the deaths of children worldwide. The already dire situation is worsened by climate change, rising inequality, conflicts, and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, integrated, multi-sectoral approaches are essetial to address the immediate and underlying causes of malnutrition.

In 2024, WHH's 95 nutrition-related projects directly impacted 3 million people, with a budget of 36 million EUR invested in nutrition. Read more about our key interventions and our strategic approach.
