The WHH Youth Network
Connecting young voices, ideas and action across Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and its partner organizations.
The WHH Youth Network brings together young professionals from across Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and its partner organizations to learn from one another, collaborate across countries and contribute youth perspectives to our work.
Who We Are
Across WHH and its partner organizations, young professionals bring fresh perspectives, diverse experiences and the motivation to contribute to meaningful change. However, opportunities to connect beyond individual projects, teams and countries can often be limited.
The WHH Youth Network helps bridge this gap by creating opportunities to connect, learn from one another and collaborate across countries. We are a youth-led global network for people aged 18–30 from across WHH and its partner organizations. The network creates space to build connections, exchange knowledge, strengthen skills and bring youth perspectives into WHH’s wider work. We believe that sustainable and meaningful transformation happens when young people are actively involved in shaping ideas, decisions, and action.
What We Do
The Youth Network is a flexible, member-driven space shaped by the interests, ideas and participation of young professionals. It complements existing structures by creating opportunities for connection, collaboration and shared learning. The network creates and explores practical opportunities such as:
- Peer learning and cross-country exchange
- Networking and community conversations
- Youth storytelling and sharing experiences
- Opportunities to contribute youth perspectives to relevant WHH processes and events
- Youth-led initiatives and collaborative activities
- Connecting and showcasing youth engagement across WHH
Why It Matters
By connecting young professionals across WHH, the network can help break down silos, encourage cross-country learning and bring diverse perspectives into our work. It also helps WHH better understand the priorities and experiences of the next generation of professionals while creating space for them to take initiative and contribute meaningfully.
For young professionals, the network offers a sense of connection, greater visibility and opportunities to learn and grow. For WHH, it brings new ideas, stronger collaboration and a wider pool of engaged colleagues who are ready to contribute beyond their immediate roles.
Get involved
Whether you are a young professional looking to connect or a colleague interested in collaborating, there are many ways to engage. The WHH Youth Network brings together young professionals from across WHH’s country offices and partner organizations who contribute their own strengths, perspectives and experiences to foster collaboration, learning and mutual support.
Members are encouraged to contribute their ideas, develop new skills and shape the network together. Young professionals can join the network, participate in learning and exchange activities, share their experiences, propose ideas or collaborate on joint initiatives. WHH teams and colleagues can support the network by providing learning opportunities, sharing expertise, inviting youth perspectives and creating space for youth-led contributions.
