Executive Management

The full-time executive management is in charge of running our affairs.

The Executive Management is in charge of running Welthungerhilfe's (WHH) affairs. It works in compliance with WHH's charter and with the decisions of the General Assembly and requirements by the Board of Directors. Take a look behind the scenes and get to know the members of the Executive Management here.

Mathias Mogge (Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer)

Mathias Mogge was elected as Secretary General of WHH in September 2018. In December 2021, he was elected as one of two chairpersons on the board of VENRO. Mathias Mogge, an agricultural engineer and environmental scientist, has been working for WHH since 1998 and has been full-time Executive Director Programs since 2010.

Susanne Fotiadis (Chief Marketing & Communications Officer)

Susanne Fotiadis joined WHH in November 2019 as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. Prior to this, she was for 13 years member of the Management Board of UNICEF Germany and since 2012 Head of Marketing and Fundraising. Susanne Fotiadis holds a degree in business administration. 

 

 

Christian Monning (Chief Financial Officer)

Christian Monning joined WHH as Chief Financial Officer in February 2018. He is an expert in finances and brings in more than 30 years of experience in all sectors related to finances. He has been working in international industries and is a global thinking professional with a strong wish to make the world a better place.

 

Bettina Iseli (Chief Program Officer)

Bettina Iseli has been appointed as Chief Program Officer of WHH in 2024. Her appointment follows a career spanning 19 years in humanitarian and development assistance, thereof 11 years within WHH. Since 2019, she has served as Director Programs. Bettina Iseli has obtained a Master’s degree in International Relations at the Graduate Institute in Geneva and holds a Master in Humanitarian Assistance obtained in Bochum and Groningen and a Master in Leadership and Development in Zurich.
